The Youngest

STORY:
The elders of each species send out their youngest in search of food. The different species eat each other’s dead to survive. Once they grow big enough, they can no longer move and become rooted to the spot. They become the stationary foundation of the species. However, food has grown scarce, and they must venture further from their homes.
The youngest act as scavengers.
When they grow big enough, it’s called “The Quickening” in which they go through their adolescent growth spurt and they find a place to settle and permanent rooting begins.
MC’s home is amongst “The Elders”, the ancient ones of his kind who had grown too large, taken root, and fossilized into the landscape. Their Home is called the Grove.

Character profile:
Sprout is a seed that lives in a desert environment. There is only sand for miles. He lives inside a bunker.
He is a sentient seedling that acts as a protective and cranky older brother. His younger brothers are babbling little seeds that he keeps in a cradle or “seedbed”. As the eldest brother it is his duty to water his little brothers (who are cute little seeds). He has put up various warnings and "KEEP OUT" signs around the bunker he lives in, but they keep falling over.
The health of the leaf on his head reflects his emotional state. When sad, it begins to wilt or grow brown spots.
Sparks is a sentient lightbulb that unplugged from his outlet. He lives in a city of mechanical objects, who also left their outlets. He's hard to find. At night, you can reliably find him sleeping at a certain charging port.
The intensity of sparks coming from his head depend on his mood.
Dimwit is a sentient candle that likes to spook people in the middle of the night. He is easy to find. Most nights he can be found fishing on his rowboat in the middle of a lake.
The intensity and size of the fire on his head reflects his emotional state.
Rockee is a sentient rock that dreams of traveling into space. She likes airplanes, helicopters, hot air balloons, kites, and more. She is easy to find. Most afternoons she can be found outside, playing in her cardboard spaceship in the middle of the forest.
The intensity and size of her pupils reflect her emotional state.
Shelly is a sentient snowball that decided to grow a tail. She is easy to find. Most nights she can be found in icy waters, mocking the polar bears and snowmen.
Shelly tends to melt when feeling nervous or upset.
NOTE: I don’t quite like this design, I’ll probably rethink it.

She is queen of the rock people. Her children are called pebbles.

Grumps is a sentient seedling that eventually settled down in safer soils. He has a soft spot for kids. He is easy to find. His size makes him impossible to ignore.
He waggles his twig around when excited.
Splash is a sentient drop of water, that was born from the Great Spout in the Bathroom. His dad is a talking fishbowl.
The next comic was called Hobbo Hotel. It’s a pun off Habbo Hotel. I made it January 2014.
It’s about three broke losers living out of a car, and the characters were based off my friends.
The losers were going to then steal the tourist’s wallets and come up with a wacky scheme to get rich. Very Ed, Edd and Eddy type of humor.
I never titled this one, it’s labeled, “LSD COMIC” in my folders.
What I wanted to do with this comic is explore differing perspectives. I’d come up with a factual account of events, and then draw that event through the lens of someone on too much acid. The reader was supposed to try to interpret what was actually going on.
So, for example: as the author I know he’s viewing a lamp, but the main character sees a sun instead. That kind of thing.
